Sea Grant Extension helps local seafood processors, dealers, and shellfish farmers produce safe seafood products! In 1997, the US Food & Drug Administration passed a regulation that requires all fish and fishery products to be produced in a safe, controlled manner, following the principles of a HACCP, or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, program.
